Hello there!

Before we jump into our curated favorites, here’s a thought that we had…

Collaboration now sits at the heart of the HR function. A lot of what you do is cross-functional and is a shared responsibility.

Think HR technology deployment. Or, creating a positive work environment. Or, building trusted relationships with employees.

You need IT, Office Administration, and managers to demonstrate as much accountability as you can to make these efforts successful.

So what are you doing to make this level of cross-functional collaboration a possibility at your organization? We’d love to hear from you.

And now on to the latest from the world of work…

To Read 📑: Corporate wellness programs - are you only remediating symptoms?

Yoga sessions, meditation app subscriptions, wellbeing day-offs, and productivity training are great employee wellness initiatives. But if organizations aren’t bringing about systemic change to deal with burnout, you’re only treating the symptoms, while the root causes - toxic work culture, lack of inclusivity, unsupportive managers - continue to erode the employee experience beneath the surface. This report by the McKinsey Health Institute has some great data and insights.

To Listen 🎧: Question your understanding of disability

You might already be an Adam Grant podcast fan, but we had to bring this one up. It broadened our understanding of disability and shattered some myths and misconceptions. For example, did you know disability is far more common than you think? Globally over a billion people live with some form of disability. And if you're 20, you have a one in four chance of becoming disabled before retiring at 65! As an HR Tech company striving to make our platform accessible to one and all, this left us with a lot to think about.

To Watch 📺: What can Employee Experience teams learn from Customer Experience?

We spoke to Guneet Singh - Head of Marketing & Creative Services at Google and this conversation turned out to be way more insightful than we could have imagined! Customer Experience is a much more evolved function than EX is. And naturally, there is so much we can learn from CX’s successes. Guneet lays it all out in this conversation with Kiran Menon.

We've also recapped the key takeaways from the conversation in this blog.

Surveys

Have you seen our Surveys feature yet?

To Read 📃: The evolution of onboarding at Genpact & how they are staying ahead

It wouldn’t be wrong to say Genpact’s seen it all when it comes to employee onboarding. Overseeing the transition from manual to digital, Yuvraj Baghwala and Shalu Manan from Genpact’s HR team went down memory lane to show us the evolution of employee onboarding, the changing expectations of new generations, and the secret to attracting and retaining good talent.

To Try 🧗♀️ : What kind of a creative person are you?

This one’s an oldie but a goodie. Try this fun quiz by Adobe during your lunch break. While it gives you some interesting insights into your personality type and style of working, we loved the visual elements that make this such a treat for the eyes.

And, the story of the month is…

🌙 Tydy customer, Swiggy introduces "moonlighting" policy at work

Swiggy’s new Moonlighting policy encourages employees to pick up gigs outside work.

In the words of Yamini Koganti, AVP - HRBP, “Swiggy has always strived to create employee-first benefits. Over the last two years, we observed that some of our employees were getting opportunities to render gig services, leveraging their professional skills outside work. Some even discovered new hobbies during the lockdown and have been keen to pursue them now because they find time due to remote-first ways of working. To solve this need of employees we came up with an  industry-first Moonlighting policy.”

It makes us so proud to see that our customers have always been, and continue to be, ahead of the curve!

That’s all for now.
